WHAT IS "POSITIVE PLAY"?
Positive Play is a proactive, player-focused approach to gaming, focused on maximizing healthy & happy experiences.
It takes away the traditional stigma that “responsible gaming” is for people with gambling problems.

Positive messages are more persuasive and relevant to all players.
Negative messages tend to turn people away. Positive messaging is simple, actionable & inexpensive.
WHAT'S THE POSITIVE PLAY SCALE?
The Positive Play Scale (PPS) is a way of measuring positive play.
It’s a validated survey instrument with 28 international studies completed to date.
The survey measures positive beliefs & behaviors about gaming.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO PLAYERS?
EFFECTIVENESS:
Positive messages are more persuasive to the player.
SATISFACTION:
Players who score higher on the PPS have higher past 12-month satisfaction with their gaming.
IMPROVEMENTS:
Information about PPS scores will be used to improve RG initiatives and provide individualized soft-nudge interventions.
SAFETY:
Higher PPS scores have been shown to be negatively correlated with problem gambling severity and gambling harm, including financial struggles and social isolation.
